February 17th is the New Moon in Aquarius, a Solar Eclipse, and the Lunar New Year. Each individual event would be enough to bring brand new energy to you, but all together they are here to bring some major, fundamental shifts to who you are and how you move in your life. So let’s talk about what each of these events are, what you need to know about their energy, and what you can expect moving forward.
Let’s begin with the New Moon in Aquarius. This New Moon is all about opening up new possibilities when it comes to the way you interact with the world. How do you show up in your friendships and your community? Are you assuming a role or pretending to be someone or something? Does that role feel like it helps you still or is it becoming exhausting to keep up with? This New Moon is an excellent one to set intentions around who you want to be in the world and how you want to show up in life. Spend time reflecting on your passions and motivations in life and see how authentically you are connecting to those.Â
This energy is only amplified when we think of it in context of the Eclipse. This eclipse is called a ring of fire eclipse, and opens the door to the new Aquarius/Leo cycle that will reoccur over the next couple years. It will bring about a shift of how we show up in our most authentic selves. Expect big cultural shifts away from following trends and isolation and leaning into uniqueness and connecting on a larger cultural/communal level. It will open us up to what we need to see and experience in order to find common ground that moves to a more unified humanity. That may sound intense, but Aquarius is the Humanitarian sign. It gets us to think about larger scale ideals.Â
February 17th is also the Lunar New Year, and the beginning of the Year of the Fire Horse. As we shift into this energy, we enter a time of energy, passion, and innovation. It can create new momentum and open us up to new possibilities. However, it is also a time where tempers can flare, and it is imperative to move with intention and discipline. There is a lot of power in this year, meaning you will see the results quickly with whatever decisions you make. Think of this energy like the idea of a wild horse running around your home; if things are disorganized or messy the horse may bring a lot of destruction in its wake. If you are able to create boundaries and structure, you will be able to feel the power assist your energy.
