If you have been feeling called to shed, release, and start something new; it might be the perfect time to listen. Every year we enter a 2 week period of powerful manifestation called the Lion’s Gate Portal. Generally beginning around the end of July, the pinnacle of this time is on August 8th (8/8) and can be used to help you refocus and create new goals and dreams for the rest of the year.
So what denotes the Lion’s Gate Portal? Essentially the Sun (which is in Leo) falls into alignment with Sirius, Orion’s Belt, and the Earth. Sirius is the brightest star in the side and astrologically it is considered to be the spiritual sun. When these all align, the energy begins to shift and opens us up to new possibilities, manifestations, and abundance. Think of this time almost like the Spring Equinox, where you have the strongest ability to cast the vision for your future.
How to Manifest
So how can you work with this energy? Since this is a two week period, you can take a bit of time to contemplate and really get to the heart of what it is that you want to create before the pinnacle of Lion’s Gate on 8/8. But here is one of our favorite ways to work with manifestation. Think about the following questions: What has been calling to you the last few months? Are there actions, feelings, or desires that have awoken within you since the end of March? If you could see something created in the next 6 months whether it's a new relationship, new career, or new way of being, what would you want that to be? Sit with these for a bit and then start writing out what that looks like for you. Be sure to write in the present tense, as if it is already happening. For example: I am in a loving and supportive relationship vs. I want to be in a loving and supportive relationship. Once you have finished writing out your manifestations, your intention is set but that doesn’t mean your work is done. Now it’s time to bring those ideas into the physical world. It's through these intentional actions that we tell the universe we are ready for this big change to happen. Here are some of our favorite ways to do that!
Creating a Crystal Grid
If you find yourself drawn to crystals, I’d recommend working with some of them to set the intention and amplify them. Creating a crystal grid is the perfect way to do this. Start with finding a focus stone for the middle of your grid. There are a few different approaches to this, from using a crystal like Clear Quartz, Citrine, or some other very amplifying crystal in the middle to using something like a crystal tower or a sphere where the shape itself helps with the amplification of the message. From here you can really customize it based on the manifestations you’re focusing on. Looking to bring in love or passion? Maybe you’re going to be drawn to crystals that are pink, green, or orange to connect to the Heart and Sacral chakras. Are you trying to bring in financial abundance? Consider working with solar plexus stones (yellow and gold) or green stones to open yourself up to the possibilities. You can have multiple of the same kind of or use a variety to infuse the grid with different types of energy.
Once you have your crystals, you can put the grid together. Start by energetically clearing the space with incense, herbs, or a room clearing spray, so that you can begin with a fresh start. Next you’re going to want to place the sheet where you’ve written your manifestations down and place it at the center of where you want your grid. You can leave it flat or fold it up to fit better under everything. Next comes placing your crystals. If you have a wooden grid, feel free to use it but it is by no means mandatory. Grab your focus crystal and hold it in your hands as you begin to envision what your life would feel like with achieving your manifestation. Picture experiences that would occur with that new job, new relationship, new belief about yourself and allow that to fill your mind. Then place your focus crystal down. Continue that visioning process and place down your additional crystals. Typically you want to create some kind of balance in a grid, so place these other crystals across from one another, forming a shape around the focus crystal.
Scripting
If you are struggling with figuring out what you want to manifest, it might be beneficial for you to try scripting. Scripting is when you write out your manifestations in present tense, almost as if you were writing a diary entry. For example: instead of writing “I want to have a fulfilling relationship you would write “I am so grateful for my fulfilling relationship”. There are multiple reasons why this works. First, when you truly and vividly imagine in detail what your future life will look and feel like, it acts similarly in your brain to you having lived that experience. This is why it's so important to slow down and take time to see all the facets of what manifesting whatever it is you want to manifest, the way it changes how you feel in your body, how you move in the world, and the reality of what it could bring to your life. Writing out your manifestations, as opposed to just imagining them, also helps to bring it to the physical world. When you write them out, you are more actively able to find the possibilities and opportunities to create your dream. To practice this, script out a whole day from the future that you are manifesting. You can begin with waking up. Imagine how you wake up, what your routine looks like, and how you feel. Keep going throughout the day, until you feel as though you could see it like a movie or see yourself walking through each step.
Incorporate Repetition
It’s easy to set a manifestation, feel inspired about it while you’re doing it, and then forget about it the next day. It doesn’t necessarily mean that you don’t want it, but it can be hard to manifest something when you don’t incorporate it into your everyday life. Which is where the next technique comes in. Repetition of your manifestation on a daily basis helps you to maintain focus and can bring your attention to all the daily wins towards your goal. There are a lot of ways to do this, so let’s do a brief rundown of some of them!
Affirmations: Affirmations are incredible tools for manifestation, because they basically have you act as a repetitive hype man. You are telling yourself all the good things you are, and as you repeat the same affirmations each day they will begin to feel good and familiar. When creating affirmations, be sure to write in the present tense.
3-6-9 Method: This method involves writing out your manifestation multiple times throughout the day. Starting in the morning with writing it out 3 times, then in the middle of the day 6 times, and then ending at night with 9 times. You can repeat this for as long as you would like (numbers divisible by 3 {12, 21, 33 etc} are popular).
777 Method: This is very similar to the 3-6-9 method. Write out your manifestation in the form of an affirmation 7 times in the morning, then repeat it out loud 7 times in the evening, and do it for 7 days. 7 is a powerful number of deep, inner transformations. This can be helpful for manifestations which require deep shadow work.
Acting Like Future You
This next technique brings your manifestations into the real world through your daily actions. Think about your manifestation for a moment, and then think about the version of yourself who achieves or receives it. What does that version of you look like or feel like? How do they act? What beliefs do they have of themselves and what actions do they do to be in alignment with your manifestation. By very clearly understanding who this person is, the easier it is for you to build a life that supports the manifestation that you have. If you are trying to manifest a community, think about the beliefs and actions you would need to create that into existence. Does it look like more regularly checking in and making time for your current acquaintances and friends? Could it be changing the way you think about spending your time (ie personal time vs community building time)? Does it look like starting a new hobby or taking a new class to put yourself out there? Once you can see those actions, it’s time to start actually taking them. It can start as simple as changing your morning routine. If you are someone looking to manifest and create more self confidence or self love, treating yourself as the last priority in the morning isn’t helping that at all. A small change you could make would be adjusting your schedule to wake up earlier, and allow yourself to get ready at a more leisurely pace. It may be challenging at first, but those small consistent actions are what bring change into your life.
Manifestations don’t just magically appear in our lives out of nowhere. They are achieved through your actions and effort. And this can apply to beliefs and attitudes about yourself too, sometimes “fake it til you make it” is exactly what’s needed to get yourself out of whatever stuck feeling you have.
