As we enter May, we wanted to spend time talking about spiritual topics connecting to the divine feminine, mother wounds, and breaking cycles. This week we are focusing on the term Divine Feminine and what we mean when we say it. Because we use it often, from using it in class descriptions and names to describing crystals and items in our store as it, and we want you to know how we use that phrase and why.

More and more, the phrase “Divine Feminine” has been taken and used in ways that have almost given it multiple meanings; from connecting to your intuition and reclaiming your own internal guidance to being used to reinforce traditional gender roles and attitudes.

In our perspective every single person has a Divine Feminine and a Divine Masculine, regardless of gender. You use and tap into those energies every single day. Your feminine is your inner world; your thoughts, feelings, intuition, and internal dialogue. Your masculine is your outer world; your actions, expression, and external dialogue. When we talk about feeling an imbalance in our masculine and feminine, it means that we tend to rely on one side too much. And in the society that we live in it tends to be the masculine. We are expected to constantly be grinding, pushing forward despite any internal warning signs that our bodies give us that we need a break, and shy away from conversations that get emotionally deep and vulnerable.

When you spend most of your life in that space, you do need to rediscover that connection to your own internal system. You need to relearn how to trust that magical inner knowing that has always been there, but that you were taught to override. That’s why you see so many classes, especially at Sienna Moon, that focus on that very thing. We want you to feel empowered to trust your intuition and yourself so that you can create transformation in your own life.

Healing that and rediscovering those connections are often deeply entwined with experiences where someone was told that they couldn’t be feminine, had to be serious, or dress or act in a specific way. And reclaiming how you present yourself is one of the most powerful forms of self love and care that you can offer yourself. Each and every person’s experience with connecting to the Divine Feminine is unique and something that no other person should tell you how to experience.
