Witches and the magic they bring into the world is often celebrated and enjoyed during the Fall Season. It is a time that many people allow their inner child to come out and play with the idea of their own innate abilities and dream of what life could have been like if they got they received a magical prophecy on their birthday or if they randomly developed telepathic powers in elementary school. It's even Salem, Massachusetts's busiest time of the year. While witchy movies, tv shows, and even practices like crystal healing and collecting have gained popularity over the years, it is important to acknowledge and remember the ancestral and past life wounds that reside in so many people that stem from the violence that occurred throughout history.
One thing to be sure of, is that those killed during witch trials and beyond were the healers, midwives, mothers, sisters, wives, herbalists, and spiritual leaders of their communities. The intuitive, divine feminine energy that lives in all of us was wounded when these attacks began and persisted. When women come together, honoring those souls and experiences, heals the ancestral lines that live within all of us.
This trauma and wound is a result of the many women, children, and men who were brutally murdered for being themselves. Healing with herbs and tea, helping to birth children, reading, having a birthmark, not obeying those in authority, having your own personal belief systems - the list goes on. Each of these was enough to be called a witch, have your community and family turn against you and be mercilessly and publicly killed. Those impacted were just people and the trauma that started during this time has trickled down and impacted our whole society ever since. A witch wound can show up as a fear to speak up for yourself and set healthy boundaries, a fear of sharing openly your soul's purpose and deepest spiritual beliefs. Often a witch wound will manifest as a tendency to please people, silence yourself, or be hyper vigilant about how others perceive you, and a powerful inner tension when these attributes conflict with a consistent desire to create change, and embody courage and compassion wherever you go.
If you have the Witch Wound, you may dream of starting a creative project, but hold yourself back, or have an intense fear around groups of women. The idea of having power may feel very scary to you, because of a feeling that showing your power is unsafe. As a result, you may play small or try to go unnoticed because subconsciously you fear persecution.
These are community wounds that we have inherited through our ancestors, but they don't have to continue to weigh so heavily in this life. This is why we felt driven to create the Witch's Weekend. During this weekend, we have events to help you release your Witch Wounds, celebrate your own inner witchiness, and a meditation to help you begin connecting with your own internal gifts!
On Friday evening, we will come together with the healing energies of sound, breath work and RTT Hypnotherapy to help you reconnect and heal wounds you may not have even known were there. Reclaim your power and release those wounds so you can stand confident in yourself and feel free to be exactly who you have always wanted to be. After this beautiful experience of release, we will invite you back to our space for a day of Celebration! Saturday morning Pewaukee’s Merchant Trick or Treating will take place and we will have a special set up for children and adults alike to come and receive a special treat. Then we will welcome you from 4-7 for our first ever Witches Ball! We will be in our favorite costumes, with magical activities, music, beverages, a costume contest and a powerful burn and release ceremony. This is an evening to intentionally come together, after our Witch Wounds Healing and experience all the joy and delight that a group of magical humans celebrating together brings! The next day Karlie will be offering a circle to aid you in feeling more deeply connected to your intuition and your inner power. This weekend is a love letter to my past self and any one of you that at some point has felt like they couldn't fully share who they are with the world. I welcome you to come exactly as you are, with love and delight for the season you are in; to heal, celebrate and connect more deeply to yourself and the powerful community you are a part of.
