August Monthly Numerology

As we step into August, we’re going to notice a rather palpable shift in the energetic landscape. And if it feels familiar…it’s because August is a 9 Universal Month and we’re revisiting the same archetypal energy that defined 2025. For many of us, last year was a sweeping cycle of endings, forgiveness, and transformation. Now, the universe is bringing those lessons back. Not to repeat them, but to reveal what still hasn't been fully released.

Many of you may have already sensed or even experienced this during the final days of July. Conversations resurfaced. Old emotions reappeared. Doors closed. That's the unmistakable signature of 9 energy at work. It has a way of shining a light on unfinished business so we can finally bring it to completion.

Unlike months focused on building or initiating something new, August asks us to pause before rushing ahead. This is a month of decluttering. Not just your closets, but your commitments, beliefs, relationships, expectations, and emotional baggage. Anything that has outlived its purpose is going to do whatever it takes to get your attention.

Dear ones, I'm going to be honest: endings are hard. Period.

We love talking about fresh starts. New chapters. Reinvention. But the current story has to end first. The truth is, endings are rarely graceful or peaceful when we’re living through them.

A relationship ending can feel like someone ripped out a piece of your future. Losing a job can shake not only your finances, but your confidence and sense of identity. Watching a loved one move away, saying goodbye to a dream you've spent years chasing, selling the home where you built your life, becoming an empty nester, closing a business, or realizing you've simply outgrown the person you once were…these experiences are not inspiring in the moment.

They hurt.

And I don't believe we serve ourselves, or anyone else, by rushing to find the silver lining. In fact, I often don’t even agree with looking for it in the first place. Because sometimes, there simply isn’t one. Sometimes things are unfair. Lonely. And we’re left questioning everything we thought we knew.

We often mistake resilience for wisdom. We imagine resilient people as those who can immediately find the lesson, reframe the experience, or tell an inspiring story about how everything happens for a reason. But that's not resilience. That’s reflection and comes much, much later.

Resilience is getting out of bed the morning after your world falls apart. It's showing up to work after the breakup. It's making dinner when you're too exhausted to care. It's filling out another job application after another rejection. It's answering the phone. Paying the bills. Taking the dog for a walk. Playing with your kids after you just lost your job, It's choosing, over and over again, to keep moving forward when every part of you wants to stay still.

If there is something to learn from the 9 Dear ones, it’s this: we are all carrying burdens no one else can see and when we are standing in the middle of heartbreak, grief, or uncertainty; our only job is to survive that day. This isn’t a time for motivational quotes or triumphant speeches. When we’re in the arena, fighting to put one foot in front of the other, that’s got to be our only focus. Because the grit and tenacity it takes to live, to see another day, sometimes takes everything we have.

If that's where you find yourself this August, give yourself permission to stop searching for meaning before you've made it through the moment.

The insights will come when you're ready. For now, simply continuing is enough. Sometimes the bravest thing you'll do all day is wake up tomorrow and try again. The energy of the number 9 doesn't ask us to pretend those feelings don't exist. In fact, it asks the opposite. It invites us to honor what mattered enough to grieve. Because grief is simply love with nowhere to go. Only after we've allowed ourselves to fully experience an ending can we begin to see what space it has created. That doesn't erase the pain, and it doesn't make the loss worth it. But over time, what once felt like an ending often reveals itself to have been a doorway we never would have chosen, yet one that ultimately led us exactly where we needed to be.

So if August numerology asks you to let go of something you've been holding onto with both hands, know this: you don’t have to be excited about it. You don't have to skip ahead to gratitude before you've felt the ache.

Trust that honoring an ending is, in itself, sacred work.

Your Personal August Numerology Forecast

To find your Personal Year Number, add your birth month and day to the current year. For example, if you were born on 4/3/1987, you'd add 4 + 3 + 2 + 0 + 2 + 6. That gives you 16. Then reduce it to a single digit: 1 + 7 = 8. You're in an 8 Personal Year. To find your Personal Month Number, simply add the number of the current month to your Personal Year Number. If you're in an 8 Personal Year and it's July (8), your Personal Month is 8 + 8 = 16, and 1 + 6 = 7. You're in a 7 Personal Month.

If you've been with us for a while, you already know that no two people experience the same month in exactly the same way. While August carries the collective energy of a 9 Universal Month, your Personal Month determines where that energy is most likely to show up in your own life.

I like to think of it this way: the Universal Month is the weather, while your Personal Month is the journey you’re taking through it. We’re all standing beneath the same sky, but some of us are planting seeds, others are strengthening foundations, some are navigating relationships, and still others are bringing long chapters to a close.

This month, every Personal Month is moving through the vibrations of the number 9. That means each of us encounters the same invitation: release what has fulfilled its purpose so something more aligned can eventually take its place. But everyone’s invitation looks very different.

If you're in a 1 Personal Month, endings clear the way for new beginnings. A 2 may find closure unfolding through relationships and emotional healing. A 3 is invited to express what has remained unspoken. A 4 may discover that simplifying routines and releasing outdated structures creates greater stability. For a 5, freedom often arrives through letting go of expectations or identities that have become too small. A 6 may be asked to release obligations that no longer come from love, while a 7 learns that resilience comes before reflection and that wisdom often arrives long after the storm has passed. An 8 may see karmic cycles complete around money, career, or personal power. And if you're in a 9 Personal Month, you're experiencing completion layered upon completion…a profound opportunity to honor the past while preparing for an entirely new chapter.

As you read your forecast, remember that these energies aren't predictions. They're invitations. How you respond to them is, and always will be, your greatest source of insight.

  • One. This month brings some interesting tension. You may feel the desire to begin something new, but need to finish what came before. There’s an undeniable pull toward the future and a need to clear the runway. Release outdated goals. Have those lingering convos. Stop carrying versions of yourself that no longer reflect who you are becoming. The endings that appear now are not meant to stop your momentum…so resist the urge to rush ahead before honoring what needs to be finished.

  • Two. Relationships, partnerships, and unresolved feelings may ask for your attention. Not necessarily because anything needs to be fixed, but because something (and maybe everything) deserves to be acknowledged. Compassion, patience, and honest communication are going to be your biggest allies this month. Not every ending is a failure. Sometimes loving yourself and another means recognizing when someone needs space, when vulnerability isn’t being met, when intention becomes more important than impact, and when you’re holding onto hope instead of accepting what’s changed.

  • Three. Give your emotions somewhere to go. This month is encouraging you to speak, create, connect, and share authentically. That means that you have to be honest with yourself and others. That you may have to get real and release what you’ve been hiding inside. Conversations you avoided need to happen so that your voice can be part of your healing. You don't need to have the perfect words. You don't need to make your pain beautiful before you share it. Sometimes the most powerful expression is simply telling the truth.

  • Four. This is a powerful time to evaluate your routines, systems, responsibilities, and commitments. The question this month isn't simply, “What can I add?” it’s, “What is no longer sustainable?” Some structures may need rebuilding. Some obligations may need to be released. Some routines no longer support where you're headed. Remember, clearing away what is outdated isn’t creating chaos. It’s creating room for you to feel and be better in the areas that are vital to your life’s work and meaning.

  • Five. This month may reveal where you've been living according to expectations, obligations, or identities that no longer fit. You may feel called to break patterns, change direction, or explore possibilities you previously dismissed. Freedom is not always about running toward something new. Sometimes freedom is finally putting down what you were never meant to carry.

  • Six. The number 6 naturally wants to care for others, but August asks an important question: are you offering love, or are you sacrificing yourself (or harming relationships) to earn it? This month may illuminate family patterns, old roles, or responsibilities you have carried for far too long. Being supportive does not mean abandoning yourself. Being loving shouldn’t hurt. Some of the most meaningful endings this month may involve releasing guilt, unrealistic expectations, or the belief that everything depends on you.

  • Seven. This is not a month to force yourself to understand every ending or immediately find the lesson in every experience. The 7 wants mastery, awareness, and deeper truth; but August reminds us that wisdom cannot be rushed. Give yourself permission to step back. Protect your energy. Strengthen your boundaries. Some answers will not arrive through analysis; they will arrive through time. The greatest mastery this month may be accepting that you don’t need to (and sometimes simply can’t) solve everything right now.

  • Eight. This can be a significant month for recognizing what has worked, what hasn't, and what needs to be completed. The 8 seeks results, but the 9 asks you to evaluate the deeper meaning behind those results. Are your ambitions still aligned with your values? Are you building success that actually fulfills you? Some financial, professional, or leadership matters may reach important turning points. Meet these moments with integrity. True power is not about control, it is about alignment and attunement.

  • Nine. A 9 Personal Month within a 9 Universal Month is one of the most powerful expressions of this energy. Completion is amplified. Old cycles, relationships, identities, and emotional patterns may come to a natural conclusion. This can feel incredibly liberating but it can also feel emotional. The number 9 asks us to honor what mattered. To acknowledge what shaped us. To release without resentment. This is not about forcing endings. It is about recognizing when something has already completed its purpose and that the more peacefully you can let go, the more space you create for what comes next. Remember: closure does not always come from getting every answer. Sometimes closure comes from accepting what’s done is done and over can simply mean…over.
