Life After Pet Loss
Life After Pet Loss
Service Description
The loss of an animal companion can be one of the deepest and most life-altering grief experiences we face - yet it is often misunderstood or minimized by the world around us. This special Grief Support Circle is devoted to honoring the love, bond, and heartbreak that comes with losing a beloved soul pet. This 90-minute, in-person gathering offers a compassionate space for pet parents after loss to acknowledge their grief, share their stories (if they wish), and be met with understanding rather than explanation. Together, we will gently explore why these bonds run so deep, the unique pain of saying goodbye, and the complicated emotions that can follow - including around euthanasia, guilt, doubt, and regret. Led by Grace and Elaine, both of whom have walked the path of loving and losing animal companions, this circle follows the same gentle, supportive format as our previous Grief Support Circles, blending reflection, shared presence, and soothing, embodied practices. This is not about “getting over” your grief - it is about honoring your love, your loss, and your continued connection, while being held in a community that truly understands. You are welcome to come exactly as you are, whether your loss is recent or long ago, whether your heart feels broken, tender, or quietly aching. Your grief for your animal companion is real, valid, and worthy of care.
