Service Description

What are you ready to leave behind and what might be waiting on the other side? During this guided mixed-media experience, you’ll create a layered painting centered around a doorway, opening or portal of your own making. Begin by placing a word onto the canvas representing something you’re ready to move beyond, then transform it through color, texture, mark-making and layers while learning simple techniques for creating depth and atmosphere. As your painting evolves, you’ll create an opening into something new; filling the space beyond with color, light, imagery, symbols or words representing what you’re ready to welcome in. You’ll receive guidance throughout the process while still having plenty of freedom to follow your own creative instincts. No art experience is necessary. Just come ready to experiment, create, and see what opens up.
